Many of the artifacts found on this site form an important part of the displays in the Visitor Reception Centre. In addition to these, artifacts from other Norse sites from Scandinavia are on display and provide insight to their fascinating culture.
A model of the L'Anse aux Meadows site illustrates how the site would have looked during the time of the Norse and what activities might have taken place. Another model shows which areas have been excavated and the location of some of the major finds. The remains of the eight Norse buildings, restored as they were when discovered by Helge and Anne Stine Ingstad and 3 full scale replicas of these buildings are just a short walk from the visitor centre.
When visiting, you should allow at least one hour to see the displays in the Visitor Centre.
