Take the time to visit some of the other parks and historic sites in the area.
Port au Choix National Historic Site is 228 km to the south. Three separate native cultures, Maritime Archaic, Dorset and Groswater Eskimo all lived here thousands of years ago. Tour the Visitor Centre and grounds.
Gros-Morne National Park 372 km to the south, features some of the continent's most intriguing geology and breathtaking landscapes.
Red Bay National Historic Site in southern Labrador is a 16 th -century Basque whaling station. Tour the Visitor Centre, then visit the archaeological sites on Saddle Island.
Grenfell House is in nearby St. Anthony. This museum commemorates the life and work of Dr. Sir Wilfred Grenfell, a figure of national historic significance, who founded the Grenfell hospital mission to northern Newfoundland and Labrador. The museum depicts the life, work and times of Sir Wilfrid Grenfell and his associates.
Pistolet Bay Provincial Park provides a sheltered campground, day-use facilities, swimming, comfort station, laundry facilities and a dumping station.
