September 30 Movie night - Front Lines
On Friday, September 30, we will be showing Front Lines by Claude Guilmain (33 minutes, 2008). Through archival footage, photographs, and letters, this film gives us a raw and moving glimpse into the personal experience of six Canadians during the First World War. The film will be shown in English at 7 pm at the Tower’s Visitor Centre. Regular admission fees will apply. Seating is limited. August 27 Ghost Walk with David Goss
The Ghost of John: David Goss makes an appearance as John Nathaniel Leavitt on this ghost walk, recanting stories as told by John himself. Leavitt died on October 4th many years ago in 1869 during a turbulent storm at the New River Beach, the great Saxby Gale. Bend your ear to John’s frightening tales as you join him on his quest for a burial with his fellow shipmates. The walk will begin promptly at 9 p.m. Adults $7.30 / Kids $4.90

History of Halloween: This terrifying ghost walk departing from Carleton Martello Tower will center on encounters with ghosts, witches and ghouls! David Goss leads this walk and will share the fascinating history behind Halloween and the interesting origins of our modern-day traditions. The walk will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Adults $7.30 / Kids $4.90
