Interpretation Center
Visit the Interpretation Center opened daily during the summer months administered by the Friends of Beaubears Island Inc. View life on Beaubears Island and the Miramichi during the time of the Deportation of the Acadians, the British invasion and the shipbuilding era.
Access for Persons with Special Needs
Access for persons with special needs is limited at Boishébert and Beaubears Island Shipbuilding National Historic Sites of Canada. The Province of New Brunswick administers Wilsons Point and some visitor facilities are currently being developed in cooperation with non-profit groups. Access to Beaubears Island is by private boat charter. Prior to visiting, it is recommended that visitors contact the charter operator of the Friends of Beaubears Island Inc. - (506) 622-8526.
