Celebrate Fall Delights and Settler Life

AULAC, NEW BRUNSWICK, Tuesday September 20th 2011 – Parks Canada is proud to host the 18th annual Fall Fest at Fort Beauséjour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site of Canada, Sunday, September 25th, 2011.

Come celebrate the delights of the fall season at the Fort during this one day event including activities for the entire family. Tickle your taste buds with crunchy apples, hot apple cider and delicious baked goods or take part in the horse and wagon rides from 1 – 4 pm. Scavenger hunts will be organized for kids, as well as a draw for prizes and a sale at the Fort`s boutique.

Would you like to discover what settler life was like in the first half of the 18th century? Living history enthusiasts will help you discover past ways of life of early Acadian farmers. Step back into the past to explore lifestyles, agricultural techniques and military organization of times past.

People of all ages are welcome to come and experience the Fall Fest at the Fort Beauséjour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site. The site is open to the public from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm until October 15th.
