Polar bears may be encountered at any time at York Factory National Historic Site, but the greatest risk of an encounter is between mid-July and mid-September. Parks Canada staff provide polar bear monitoring for tours of the site. Please observe all directions given by staff. For additional information, contact the Parks Canada Churchill office.
