Easter in June
Sunday, June 7 th
Outdoor Easter egg hunts are a rare sight in the North, so join us for our second annual Easter in June at the Fort St. James National Historic Site to help us celebrate our 2014 season opening. The day will include a variety of activities including:
- FREE pancake breakfast
- Easter Egg hunt
- Mini Petting zoo with baby chicks, ducks, and bunnies
- Face painting
- Best Easter bonnet contest
- Music & vendors
- Airsoft rifle competition
National Aboriginal Day
Sunday, June 21st
A day in honour and respect of our aboriginal partners.
Wednesday, July 1 st
Small town festivities, a parade, music, fireworks, cake and horseback rides for kids.

Due to a province-wide fire ban, our salmon cook-off has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 19th, 2015. Details on this event will be posted as soon as they become available.
Saturday, September 19th
The fascinating heritage and culture of the Métis people will be celebrated with music, food, vendor displays and special programming on this day. The Great Caledonia Salmon Cook-Off also happens on this day. Competitors go head to head in this fierce competition to find the best salmon chef in New Caledonia. Be among the first 100 visitors and you will get to sample all the salmon dishes and cast your ballot for the best salmon in New Caledonia.
