  • The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is available for rental during non-public hours for conference receptions, weddings, corporate functions and private parties.
  • The 55,000 square foot museum offers a unique environment for up to 600 people.
  • The Canning line, "Lane 2" offers ample space for stand-up receptions, buffet meals, or sit down dinners.
  • For an outdoor event The "Tank Farm deck", an outdoor barbecue area is available to accommodate up to 150 people.
  • The Boiler house theatre is available for workshops, seminars, presentations and meetings. This intimate environment provides seating for 55 people and is set up for audio and video presentations

The areas available for rent are as follows:

  1. Main Hall, East Wing Area, Lane 2 and Canning Line $800.00 + gst
  2. East Wing Area, Tank Farm Deck $500.00 + gst
  3. East Wing Area, Boiler House Theatre $500.00 + gst
  4. Ice House $250.00 + gst
  5. A combination of the above. * Fees will be determined.

Addtional Costs:

Additional charges will apply if:

  • More than two staff are required during the event/function.
  • Tour guides are required to provide knowledgeable information about the Cannery.
  • The Cannery Store opens during the event.
  • Any special arrangements requiring extensive set up and removal of equipment or supplies are required.

The Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society offers a 20% discount for permanent staff, members of the Society, and for registered non-profit societies.

Times and Schedules:

Rental hours are 5:30 pm to 11 pm. Rentals are not possible when the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Historic Site is open to the public.

Insurance certificates, liquor licenses, catering of events, performers and supply rentals are responsibility of the client.
