Home Front Victoria
Focusing not just on the efforts made by those "on the home front", Home Front Victoria also illustrates the contributions made by women to Canada's war effort.
Set to period music, Home Front Victoria gives valuable insight into the feel of a city living on the edge of the Pacific Theatre of war.
By the end of the war in 1945, 51,000 Canadian women had joined the three services: the Royal Canadian Air Force Women's Division, the Royal Canadian Women's Naval Service, and the Canadian Women's Army Corps. They were known as WD's, Wrens and Quacks respectively.
