With winds gusting to 40 knots (approximately 75 km/hour) during a sudden snow squall, the Canadian Coast Guard Deck Department skillfully manoeuvres the 6000 kg Investigator and its support cradle over to the well deck of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier for transportation to the survey area as a support vessel for the search of the Franklin vessels.
