In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Québec Conference and the bicentennial of Sir George-Étienne Cartier's birth, Parks Canada invites you to participate in a special programming at Montmorency Park National Historic Site, seat of the first Canadian Parliament.


The Québec Conference: Parliamentary inquiry and debate

April 28 to June 23 and September 2 to October 3, 2014

Educational activity for grade 5 and 6 students

A fun-filled inquiry at Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux National Historic Site ending in a parliamentary debate at Montmorency Park National Historic Site, home of Canada's first parliament building.

The Québec Conference: In the shadow of George-Étienne Cartier

July 19 to August 30, 2014 every Saturday, at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Under the trees of Montmorency Park, a character from the past shares his memories of the Québec Conference of 1864. Join him in retracing the past. A unique and fun family activity in the heart of the historic district of Old Québec.
