Commemorating the War of 1812

1812 On Tour Photo Gallery

Parks Canada’s 1812 On Tour is a travelling experience which brings to life stories of a war that helped to define our nation. Over the next two years, 1812 On Tour will travel to many Canadian cities and towns to help Canadians learn more about their history. It will also inform them about their extraordinary network of national historic sites and national parks, which Parks Canada protects and presents on their behalf.

This summer, 1812 On Tour travelled to 14 different locations, from Niagara to Montréal to Halifax. Over 32,000 people visited the exhibit, interacting with our welcoming and knowledgeable staff and learning about Canada’s national historic sites as vibrant centres of community life, regional culture and tourism.
