My Parks Pass
My Parks Pass is a program offered in collaboration by Parks Canada, Canadian Geographic Education, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, Nature Canada and Historica Canada. The My Parks Pass program is an opportunity for students to explore and learn about Canada's rich history and amazing nature by connecting them to Parks Canada's network of national parks, historic sites and marine conservation areas.
This multi-faceted program includes online learning tools, exciting contests, and free entry for grade 8 / secondary 2 classes all school year to any national park, national historic site or national marine conservation area managed by Parks Canada!
Passes for the My Parks Pass program are now available to order online at www.myparkspass.ca! Grade 8/secondary 2 teachers can now pre-order 2015-2015 passes for their class. Passes will be shipped in the Spring of 2015.

Your vote could send a class on Canada’s Coolest School Trip!
We have received tons of video entries from across the country for this year’s Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest and we need your help! Voting for your favourite video could help a grade 8 / secondary 2 class win an unforgettable five-day trip to spectacular Parks Canada places in Quebec.
The lucky grand-prize winners will canoe the breathtaking waters of La Mauricie National Park, hike to thundering waterfalls located deep inside the park and glimpse the many species of wildlife that call this park home. The students will also travel back in time to live the life of a solider at Lévis Forts National Historic Site, dine as members of high society at the exclusive Québec Garrison Club National Historic Site and explore the rich history of the only remaining fortified city north of Mexico.
The grand prize includes meals, accommodation and return airfare with Air Canada for a class of up to 30 students and their chaperones. There are also many other great prizes to win, including field trips and gift packages. Once again this year, Air Canada and Church & Dwight Canada Corp., the makers of ARM & HAMMER are proud partners of the Canada's Coolest School Trip contest.
All videos will be posted online from March 2 – March 30. Cast your vote daily and you might just help your favourite class win the trip of a lifetime! You can also increase the odds of your favourite video finishing in the top 10 by sharing the website (www.myparkspass.ca) with your friends and family! The winning class will be announced in April 2015.

My Parks Pass Activity Guide
The activities found in the My Parks Pass Activity Guide, created by Historica Canada, connect significant curricular themes to Parks Canada places, bringing our history and nature to life.
Developed in line with critical thinking pedagogy, the content of this guide will enrich junior-intermediate history, geography, environmental science, and social studies classes.
The guide's content is available, in both French and English, as a free download in PDF format on www.myparkspass.ca, or as a free interactive eBook available on iTunes and Google Play.
Canada's national parks, historic sites and marine conservation areas tell the story of our country. The My Parks Pass Activity Guide will bring these stories to the classrooms, through engaging activities, guided learning opportunities and interactive online materials.
