If you are interested in unique summer work experience unlike any other student job, then the Young Canada Works (YCW) program is for you. YCW provides full time secondary and post-secondary students ( ages 16 to 30 ) with summer work experience and skills.

As a YCW student , you can expect to acquire some key employability skills valued by many employers seeking communications, organizational, client services, technical and interpersonal skills.
Each YCW location offers a variety of projects in many fields. Here are some exciting projects undertaken by past participants:

- Assistance in interpretive guided tours
- Organization and delivery of children's educational activities
- Various projects for students enrolled in a trade program
- Various office duties
- Research and data collection for biosphere plots and endangered species
- Assisting Conservation Officers with the collection of GPS data (Global Positioning System)
- Participation and demonstrations of military parades in period costumes
- Participation in archaeological digs
