Fossil Fever

Spend a day uncovering the secrets of ancient dinosaurs, then get dancing under the stars at a country hoedown. The Badlands were the site of one of the first discoveries of dinosaur fossils in Canada, and scientists today continue to unlock the mystery of a time when prehistoric creatures wandered the jungle on what is now the Canadian Prairie.

As part of the five-day Fossil Fever event, small groups get a hands-on lesson as they accompany a crew of paleontologists from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and McGill University on a day’s dig. Wild scenery, lunch in the badlands and five hours of finding hidden gems such as fossils are all included. Wind down enjoying a hot chocolate beneath the spectacular night sky as you watch the glowing campfire embers. Space is limited.

Cost $73.60/person

August 16 to 20, 2017 at 9:00am East Block, Rock Creek Campground. Please pre-register at the McGowan Visitor Centre (East Block). 1-306-476-2018

This is one Grasslands-style party you do not want to miss!
