The 45th annual Christmas bird count

The 45th annual Christmas Bird Count is being hosted by Parks Canada at the Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park visitor centre in Tobermory. As usual, the Christmas Bird Count provides an excellent excuse to get out on a sunny (we hope) winter day and explore some of the hidden corners of Bruce Peninsula NP and the upper Bruce Peninsula. Prior experience and knowledge of bird identification is not a pre-requisite! Please invite your novice bird-watcher friends and family as this is a great opportunity to spend some time in the field with experienced birders who are always very happy to share their knowledge with beginners.

Please contact  the site at (519) 596-2444 ext. 311 or email to RSVP.

Here are the details:

Wednesday, December 20th. Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.

Count Headquarters is at the Parks Canada Visitor Centre in Tobermory (follow Chi sin tib dek Road across from the Royal Bank).

There is no cost to participate in the Christmas Bird Count.

We look forward to seeing everyone on December 20th!
