Jim Charles Point Group Campground is available for youth groups and family groups who would like to camp together. Minimum group size is eight and the capacity of the campground is 80. This is a tenting only facility.

The campground is divided into four sites with varying numbers of tent pads and a firebox on each. There is a large grassy common area and a group campfire circle. Close by at the lakeshore is Kedge Beach for supervised swimming from 10 am to 6 pm during peak summer months, and a playground.

A shelter, shared by all groups using the group campground, has two wood-burning stoves. Wood is not provided, therefore campers must bring their own local firewood, or purchase bundles at the campground kiosk or Visitor Centre. There are food storage lockers (you will need to bring your own lock) and picnic tables in this building as well. On the outside of the shelter is a four-season drinking water tap. Washroom facilities include flush toilets and hand washing basins, as well as several pit privies. A waste sorting station is located nearby for your convenience.

Although you may drive your vehicles up the service road to the shelter to unload gear there is no parking there. All vehicles must be returned to the parking area near the beach.

Reservations for group camping are accepted starting May 1st of each year, for Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving. You will be charged camping fees per person and a non-refundable reservation fee. To make reservations call the Visitor Centre at (902) 682-2772 daily from 9:00am-4:00pm.
