Imagine spending the night on a classic wooden boat with an interior imagined and designed by local craftsmen who put their talent to work to provide you the greatest comfort and unequalled privacy. Or you might prefer the Lock Keeper's Cottage, a cottage with urban conveniences? This is what the Village by the Locks offers you all summer long. Operated by Eau-Logis, it will be set up at Locks 1 and 2 of the Lachine Canal National Historic Site in mid-May. A unique alternative lodging project founded on the principles of sustainable development and enhancement of the site’s historical heritage, the Village by the Locks offers a convivial, calm and secure environment just steps from the city centre.

A first in an urban setting!

In addition to staying overnight on the boat or in the warmth of the Lock Keeper’s cottage, Parks Canada’s oTENTik (half way between a tent and a rustic cottage, introduced for the first time in an urban setting!), will also be offered at the site.

The oTENTik is THE ideal way for families, friends and couples to discover the joys of the outdoors in all simplicity and comfort. The ready-to-camp formula can accommodate up to 6 people, including a maximum of 4 adults. Just bring your bedding, food and personal effects. The rest will be provided for you.

Psst! The oTENTik experience is also offered at the Saint-Ours Canal, less than an hour from Montreal. Reserve your stay right now!
