Southwold Earthworks National Historic Site

Explore an ancient Attiwandaron (Neutral Iroquois) site by walking the grounds of Southwold Earthworks, where from 1500 to 1650 AD, a village of as many as 24 longhouses was home to 800 to 900 Attiwandaron (Neutral Iroquois). Kneel on the soft ground and examine the ridges that surround this important archaeological site and contain the remains of a now extinct First Nation settlement.
