Guided walking tour

Discover the historic headquarters of Bar U Ranch National Historic Site.

Your own heritage interpreter rolls away the years of national significance of the Northwest Cattle Company from 1882-1950, exploring the inner workings of the development of the ranching industry in Canada. You’ll be amazed at the tales of survival and ingenuity as the Bar U found itself a place on the world map.

Rancher’s rest stop

Need to stop and stretch your legs?

An interpreter will greet your group on horseback at that Visitor centre. Their 20-minute presentation will tell the history of Bar U Ranch, and answer any questions the group may have.
