What you can do...

1. Learn more about Monarch butterflies and their migration phenomenon.
2. Participate in projects to monitor Monarch butterflies.
3. Support Monarch conservation and education programs such as Monarch Watch, the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary Foundation, and the La Cruz Habitat Protection Project.
4. Plant a butterfly garden. You can find out about butterfly-friendly plants at your local nursery and public library, or on the Internet.
5. Support environmental laws to protect Monarch butterfly habitat in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
6. Support the Monarch butterfly as the designated national insect of Canada.
7. Participate in butterfly habitat restoration projects close to home.
