What you can do...

- Learn more about Monarch butterflies and their migration phenomenon.
- Participate in projects to monitor Monarch butterflies.
- Support Monarch conservation and education programs such as Monarch Watch, the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary Foundation, and the La Cruz Habitat Protection Project.
- Plant a butterfly garden. You can find out about butterfly-friendly plants at your local nursery and public library, or on the Internet.
- Support environmental laws to protect Monarch butterfly habitat in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
- Support the Monarch butterfly as the designated national insect of Canada.
- Participate in butterfly habitat restoration projects close to home.
