Gros Morne National Park’s Goal Statement: To protect for all time a representative area of Canadian and world significance in the Western Newfoundland Island Highlands (Region 34) and the St. Lawrence Lowlands (Region 29c) natural regions. To encourage public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of this outstanding heritage so as to leave it unimpaired for this and future generations.
Gros Morne National Park’s Vision Statement: Gros Morne National Park will be an international model of protected area management. The park will be a leader of ecosystem protection, managing its natural and cultural resources in a sustainable way. The park will involve communities and foster collaborative management within the greater ecosystem.
