This game has been adapted from an outreach education program originally developed by Michael White and Peter Hope at Kejimkujik National Park of Canada, Nova Scotia.

Southern Nova Scotia is one of the most extreme northern habitats for Blandings turtles and this population has been separated from the species’ greater range for many thousands of years. As such, some aspects of the ecology and conservation of Nova Scotian Blandings turtles may differ from other populations found elsewhere in Canada and the United States.
