Government of Canada, City of St. John’s and St. John’s Port Authority Officially Open the Terry Fox Mile 0 Site Site commemorates the heroic nature of Terry Fox’s journey
On April 12, the Honourable Peter Kent, Canada’s Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, officially opened the Terry Fox Mile 0 Site, featuring a bronze statue of Terry Fox, on the shore of St. John’s harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador. © Parks Canada

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, April 12, 2012 -- The Honourable Peter Kent, Canada’s Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, in partnership with the City of St. John’s and the St. John’s Port Authority, today officially opened the Terry Fox Mile 0 Site, featuring a bronze statue of Terry Fox, on the shore of St. John’s harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador.
